Player Setup & Activation
Activate and configure SPARC players on your display devices.
Player Activation Overview
SPARC uses a simple pairing code system similar to connecting a streaming device. When you open a player, it displays a 6-character code. Enter this code in your dashboard to instantly connect the display to your account.
Player Types
Choose the right player for your needs. The Web Player runs in any modern browser—perfect for smart TVs, tablets, and quick deployments. The NUC Player is a dedicated application for Intel NUC and similar mini PCs, offering hardware-accelerated playback, persistent content caching, and 24/7 reliability.
Pairing Your First Display
Connect a display to your SPARC account in under 30 seconds:
- 1Open the SPARC player on your display (visit the player URL in a browser, or launch the NUC app)
- 2A 6-character pairing code appears on screen (like ABC123)
- 3In the SPARC dashboard, go to Devices > Add Player
- 4Enter the pairing code and give your display a name
- 5Click 'Pair Device'—the display instantly connects to your account
- 6Once paired, the display remembers your account and reconnects automatically
Player Configuration
Once activated, configure your player from the dashboard:
Display Settings
Set the resolution, orientation (landscape/portrait), and display output for your player. SPARC automatically detects connected displays and optimizes output settings.
Network Configuration
Players connect via WiFi or Ethernet. For enterprise deployments, SPARC supports proxy configuration, static IP assignment, and VLAN tagging.
Pairing Codes Expire
Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes for security. If your code expires, simply refresh the player to generate a new one.
